Northwest Rafting Company delivers hands-on, real-world training built around the demands of working in moving water environments. As a Rescue 3 International accredited training provider, we offer Whitewater Rescue Technician Pro to professional river guides. Our programs are led by experienced river guides and rescue professionals and are aligned with internationally recognized Rescue 3 standards, ensuring students receive up-to-date, industry-leading instruction. International Rafting Federation standards are integrated into our approach, making our courses especially relevant for commercial guides and expedition leaders.
In addition to training, Northwest Rafting Company operates multi-day rafting expeditions on rivers such as the <a href=“https://www.nwrafting.com/rogue”>Rogue River</a>and <a href=”https://www.nwrafting.com/salmon”>Middle Fork of the Salmon River</a>. This combination of professional training and expedition experience allows students to learn and apply rescue skills in authentic, real-world environments.

ADK North Technical Rescue was founded in 2011, quickly becoming the leader in technical rescue training in the Northeastern United States. Donald Uhler brings more than 40 years of rescue experience to every group they instruct, whether it be Swiftwater, Rope, or Ice technical training. The instructors are very active in their local community rescue teams. Donald is one of the leaders of their local Fire/Rescue Team, the Saranac Volunteer Fire Department. As well, they are active in the Regional Team, Adirondack Technical Rescue Task Force.
Being based in Saranac, New York, approximately 40 miles Northeast from Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain, in the Northern Adirondack Mountains, provides ourselves and our classes with a wonderfully challenging class room and training facility.

Brent Dubois/Training 4 Excellence
Brent Dubois has been an Instructor with Rescue 3 since 1997. He started teaching swiftwater rescue after working as a commercial river guide in Northern California and Southern Oregon. He quicky became an Instructor Trainer working with his longtime friend and mentor Bill Davis. Brent currently teaches Swiftwater, Rope and Boat classes for the Rescue 3. In the past he has been Rescue 3s go to instructor for out of the box type classes. For example, he worked with B. Davis and a group of arborists to create an arborist rescue class blending conventional technical rope rescue with the hybrid standards, gear and mindsets arborist utilize. Brent has done several international classes and works well with interpreters in austere environments. He currently works full time for the South San Francisco Fire Department and is an active member of their Technical Rescue Team. He is also a member of FEMA USAR Task Force 3 as a Rescue Specialist, Medical Specialist, HazMat Specialist, Water Rescue Specialist as well as a Boat Operator. He also has an extensive background in EMS aviation as a 15-year flight paramedic working in a rotorcraft providing critical care.
